The main challenge we faced while designing this tiny dental room located in an old building in Sofia was how to optimize the patient experience and create a cheerful, carefree and welcoming space in a gloomy and uninviting setting. Our approach involved visually outlining different areas within the space through the use of lucid colors such as yellow and white.

The bright, glowing yellow we chose for the reception and the waiting area radiates warmth, health and wellness. For the treatment zone and sterilization area we opted for white, which  represents transparency, hygiene and precision. Various sources of direct and indirect led lighting were utilized to balance the lack of natural light and chase away the gloom.
